Spirit Airlines Keepin it Cool

Image
Spirit Airlines has gotten some smoke thrown their way these past years as they hold a stereotype among social medias. However, it is all in good fun as Spirit is a company that is doing perfectly fine. Since I have no idea what my login info is to get on from my computer I will just quote some of the comments on posts making fun of them. A great first example is "Fly Spirit and then become one" This post is poking fun at Spirit and their cheap prices which is their value proposition. Some notable things said were that both bathrooms were out of order and Walmart trash bags were under seats when needed. They are taking volunteers for pilots they just need a valid drivers license. All the stewardess's are working from zoom, and that they need to ask the stewards questions now because they lose internet connection when they get 100 feet in the air. These are all highly exaugurated but in the midst of it...

Misinforming Ads

Image
Whenever you watch a YouTube video the chances of seeing an advertisement are very high. Sometimes there can even be 3 per video. There's ads that promote games like Raid Shadow Legends which is honest. Many times I have seen advertisements that are more like propaganda than a promotion of a product. For example there were ads absolutely shitting on opposing government officials running for positions. The obvious intent to spread information weather its true or not to sway peoples ideals. In the article I found the focus has been toward global warming ads that "promote inaccurate claims". These type of ads have been a rising problem and Google has began cracking down on websites like YouTube and not allowing for them the claims denying climate change to be shown. This push is both to keep people better informed but to also side Google against companies that are a big contributors to climate change. The misleading in ads hasn't just been exclusive to YouTube. The art...

Lets get it

Hi everyone, My name is Mathias and I am a 2nd year student at Oregon State and Linn Benton. I was born in Kennewick WA but grew up in Pendleton OR. I spent the majority of my time playing sports and video games. Since I've gotten older my respect and love for the outdoors has grown. Snowboarding is something I recently picked up and there's little things better than seeing fresh snow on a mountain top. I did firefighting over the summer and this let me travel around and see different places around Oregon and California. The dream is to one day be able to travel around the world for my job which lines up with my major choice, Business Administration with an International Business focus. Marketing will be an integral part to succeeding and I think I'll enjoy learning in Robs class when the first add he shows us is about beans.
